NYK Shipmanagement Pte Ltd has in-house manning offices in Crotia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Romania, and manning agents from Ukraine, Russia(Vladivostok) and China. There are 6,000 in the pool of seafarers of the company, including the Japanese officers.

The company's various programs on staff are focused on the philosophy thats is personnel are the greatest asset, like cadetship apprenticeship, promotion, crew morale and welfare programs, seafarers and dependent dialogues, various of training programs of sea personnel.

As such, its continuously develops its own people by putting premiums on training, the computer-based simulation and actual hands-on exposure on various level of responsibilities, with emphasize on safety.

The ladder of succession of each personnel is drawn up from is entry level, i.e., a cadet post until he beacame a Master and Chief Engineer. For each post, everyone will be subjected to under-study for next higher rank. Eventually, a Master and a Chief Engineer who have attained a considerable length of sea service, and are willing to shift his carrier, will given first priority for office assignments.

The company is constantly challenged for continous improvement of its ship and for shore-based procedures and system in meeting the demand of customer and stake holders.
