2001 / Oct / 01
NYK Line Tokyo dissolved Shipmanagement Tokyo, Shipmanagement Hong Kong and Showa Line Engineering (Yokohama) and established NYK Shipmanagement Pte Ltd in Singapore in September 2001.
We commenced operations in October 2001 and managed four vessels with less than 10 employees.
2002 / May
We set up Mumbai Office to take charge of crewing services to cope with the demand of crewing services in India with liaison offices in Kolkata (2005), Chennai & Delhi (2006).
2004 / Apr
Croatia branch was set up in Split to cater to the crewing services in Croatia.
2006 / Apr
Romania branch was set up in Constanta to provide crewing services in Romania.
2006 / Nov
In September 2006, we set up Training Center located in Pandan Crescent. Mr Raymond Lim (Minister for Transport (2006 to 2011)) and Mr Koji Miyahara (the President of NYK Line) were invited to grace the official opening of the Training Center in November 2006. In the same year, we were chosen for the Excellence in Training Development Award by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
2012 / Apr
Philippines Branch (RHQ) was set up to meet the needs of Fleet Management demand in The Philippines.
2012 / Aug
Romania branch was set up in Constanta to provide crewing services in Romania.
2012 / Aug
NYK Shipmanagement (India) Pvt Ltd, subsidiary company of NYKSM was formed and all the liaison offices in India were transferred to the Subsidiary Company.
2015 / Feb
NYKSM MARITIMES SERVICES SDN BHD established in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to take charge of partial invoices, purchasing and accounting services.
As of today
Today, we have grown to management of more than 200 vessels with staff strength of 300.
